The ECDR Ministry is dedicated to serving those in need when disaster strikes, bringing practical help, gospel hope, and trained volunteers when communities are hurting.

The ECDR Ministry is dedicated to serving those in need when disaster strikes. In Ellis County and beyond, volunteers step in with trained hands, steady presence, and the desire to care for people spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
All services are free. The price was paid 2,000 years ago on Calvary Hill.
What We Do
Ministry that meets real needs when crisis disrupts a home or community.
Shower & Laundry Services
ECDR volunteers provide shower and laundry services for deployed volunteers and, at times, for public use during recovery efforts.
Chainsaw Ministry
ECDR volunteers provide chainsaw expertise and equipment during disasters and for local community service needs.
Fire & Flood Ministry
ECDR volunteers provide fire and flood recovery support and the equipment needed to help families begin rebuilding.
Chaplaincy
ECDR volunteers provide chaplains to comfort people facing disaster, loss, and tragedy with prayer and steady care.
Tent Mission
ECDR volunteers provide a 40’ x 60’ tent, plus tables and chairs, for church and community functions.
Assessors
ECDR volunteers assess damaged property so the work is understood and prepared before recovery begins.
Mass & Volunteer Feeding
In partnership with Texans On Mission, ECDR helps support mass feeding and volunteer feeding during disaster response.
Asset Protection
Additional Texans On Mission support includes monitoring equipment and helping provide for volunteer safety on site.

ECDR serves locally and in partnership with Texans On Mission. Volunteers prepare in advance so they are ready to respond with care, accountability, and practical skill when disaster strikes.
- Complete Texans on Mission orientation online or in person.
- Earn the Disaster Relief Badge for Texans on Mission callouts.
- Pass a background check before serving in approved deployments.
- Add specialty training for field roles such as chainsaw work, shower and laundry support, or flood recovery.
